BACK in 2005 three Quinnipiac University business school students saw the writing on the wall when it came to social media sites like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. They believed these and others sites would not just affect advertising, but that they were the future of modern marketing and brand development. In addition, they understood traditional methods of advertising are difficult to translate into these new media and there would need someone to help them understand and transition to the social media universe. The result of their insights was Carrot Creative, a new-media marketing agency with a focus on social-interaction design.
The Quinnipiac grads have since moved the agency to the trendsetting DUMBO neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. Their clients include Weber Shandwick, Saatchi and Saatchi, Major League Baseball, JCPenney, and The Onion. Their beautifully designed website, carrotcreative.com is featured on just about every “best of” list for innovative design. The agency has also been applauded by numerous online magazines and blogs. Always looking for new clients and new innovations, Carrot Creative will undoubtedly continue to be on the front lines of the social media revolution
