Through the CIE, Students Discover their Innovative Potential

THE CREATIVITY, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Community (CIE), launched at Syracuse University in 2004, encourages students to see themselves as agents of change. Through creative and entrepreneurial collaborations and activities students can channel their entrepreneurial potential into all facets of their lives.

Situated on a designated floor of DellPlain Hall, located a few blocks from the Whitman School of Management building, the CIE is home to a wide variety of students from all over the SU campus.

First-year students involved in CIE explore a multitude of entrepreneurial activities and connect with experienced, nurturing entrepreneurial faculty. The Whitman School is dedicated to exposing students to new opportunities and resources, particularly as students begin their college career. First-year students involved in CIE explore a multitude of entrepreneurial activities and connect with experienced, nurturing entrepreneurial faculty.

The CIE enables students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset from the very beginning of their time on campus. Through a philosophy of hands-on participation, leadership, engagement, and partnership, the CIE is a cornerstone of innovative and entrepreneurial education at SU and helps shape a larger model for personal and societal success.
